Dialectics
G.W.F. Hegel
1770–1831
“The owl of Minerva spreads its wings only with the falling of dusk.”
Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel was a German philosopher and one of the most important figures in German idealism. His dialectical method, in which contradictions are reconciled in a higher synthesis, has influenced virtually all subsequent philosophy, from Marx to contemporary continental thought.
